The standard cleaning process includes:

• Removing all rubbish/debris and disposing of it into waste receptacles supplied by the Service Provider, with subsequent off-site disposal at an appropriate refuse facility.
• Lifting doormats and sweeping around objects like pot plants, bicycles, and refuse sacks. Special attention must be given to corners and edges where dirt accumulates.
• Sweeping downstairs and all hard floor coverings, including skirting and risers, while preserving the integrity of the floor coverings.
• Damp cleaning windowsills, ledges, balustrades, decorative rails/spindles, and handrails with a cloth or appropriate equipment in a correctly measured cleaning solution.
• Removing dust / litter from hard floor surfaces using a dustpan and deck scrubbing brush, with minimal dust dispersion into the air.
• Mopping stairs, landings, corridors, entrance porches, front and rear access steps, lift floors, decks, and plats with a disinfectant and deodorant-incorporated cleaning agent.
• In areas with lifts, sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down walls, and cleaning internal and external buttons.
• All cleaning products, such as solutions, deodorisers, and disinfectants, must be approved by the Council’s Authorised Representative.
• Brushes must be cleaned outside the stairs but within the property curtilage, ensuring no dust is raised into the atmosphere.
• In case of excrement, urine, or other bodily fluids, operatives (wearing appropriate PPE) will clean the affected area and safely clean tools.
• In carpeted blocks, cleaning must be done using methods suitable for the flooring.
• Any large or major spillages or incidents of damage, vandalism, or graffiti must be reported immediately with photographic evidence provided.
• A competent person from the Service Provider must be present on-site during cleaning to receive instructions.
• Operatives must wear appropriate PPE and handle sharps safely, disposing of them off-site in designated sharps containers.
